About UsHistory: NCAD was founded in February 1996 by Neil Porter to perform computer aided drafting for various businesses throughout the Orlando area. While working in this field, Neil noticed there were many companies producing various portions of the parts process. However, he saw a market opportunity for a company that had the ability to take a concept and turn it into a fully assembled product within a single facility. Since then, he has been driving NCAD in that direction by providing parts to customers with a one-stop-shopping option, without the need to outsource any aspect of the job.
Location: We are located in a small industrial park near Oviedo, Florida, an Orlando bedroom community. This location provides a great work environment, which helps us recruit and retain the best employees.
Employees: Unlike some job shops, we do not ramp up with extra employees for a major project, only to lay people off afterwards. As a result, we have a seasoned team of dedicated associates.
Confidentiality: Due to the critical nature of your work, we routinely sign confidentiality agreements with our customers.
Neil (the N in NCAD) Porter continues to manage and run our day-to-day design and manufacturing operations. Neil has vast experience with parts, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical design. He developed these skills working for various Orlando engineering firms, which had contracts with Orlando theme parks, the U.S. Army and Boeing among other clients. Neil is a Certified Fluid Power Specialist and a Certified Fluid Power Pneumatic Specialist. | |
OUR FACILITIES
15,000-Square-Feet - In the past, we bragged that we could handle your complete project from concept to assembly to packaging under one roof. Since we moved into our new facilities in 2005 that is no longer technically true.
The demand for both our one-stop-shopping capabilities as well as our willingness to unbundle our custom services, required us to expand beyond even our own original expectations.
We now have two buildings, with the larger one (pictured above) housing our CNC machines, painting facilities, engineering department and corporate offices.
Our smaller building (pictured below) houses our vac forming machines and provides room for assembly as well as short-term customer warehousing.

OPEN DOOR POLICY - We welcome our clients or potential customers to stop by our shop whenever they want. For productive use of your time, we have a large conference room for meetings (pictured below) as well as a “guest office” for clients who need some personal workspace during their visit.
