5-Axis Routing and Trimming
Our 3-axis and 5-axis routers are the workhorses of our company. They work tirelessly, especially on time-consuming tasks. We rely on them for a wide variety of projects, and they are always dependable under prolonged use.
For example, these routers are often used both before and after we vacuum form a part for a customer. By having these machines on site we can ensure that your molds are built accurately, and we can use them to trim and finish the final vacuum formed parts to very high tolerances.
We can also use these machines to manufacture parts directly blocks of materials. Whether you need vacumn formed parts trimmed repeatably or you are looking to have a 3D model or pattern cut. This is the best way to get it done right.
We can also use the split Dual-table router which allows us to use both sides at once for large pieces (up to 120” long and 60” deep). Or, we can use both tables independently for smaller parts. This type of setup allows us to improve efficiency by loading and unloading parts off of one table, while another part is being routed on the other.
Our 5-axis machine allows us to do more complex cuts and maintain tight tolerances on all sides of the part. We’ve also discovered that even for less complex vacuum formed parts, the 5-axis router can save customers money. We can trim all sides of the part and cut any extra holes or slots all in one setup. This means each piece has to be loaded onto a router only once, which saves time and labor expense.
Our programmers have access to the most advanced CNC controls, which allows for greater accuracy. Extra built-in features, such as the ability to automatically change tools on some machines, also improves the efficiency of our operation. | |
