 SolidWorks: The first step in manufacturing a part is to create a 3D design of it as a computer file. As a Solid Works Manufacturing Partner, NCAD is dedicated to supporting the industry and working with manufacturers to get new products to market faster. This 3D mechanical design software is the industry standard, but like all tools, however, it is only as good as the person using it. Fortunately, our team, like the software itself, is innovative, yet proven.
 Mastercam & CAMWorks: Step two is to turn the 3D computer file into instructions for the CNC machine. Mastercam remains the program of choice among many CNC programmers. At the same time, we have discovered that TekSoft's suite of CAM products (including CAMworks), has its advantages as well. Purchasing both products has allowed us to match the best program for your part or product with the best machine for your part or product.
JobBOSS: Step three is to manage your project effectively and ensure that it is delivered on time. To help us manage the workflow, we rely on JobBOSS, the most widely used workflow software designed for custom manufacturers. It allows us to accurately quote, schedule, track, purchase materials and control the inventory for all of our customer’s jobs. Good scheduling allows us to keep our machines busy, without worrying about overbooking or creating bottlenecks in system. This efficiency results in high productivity and cost savings we can pass on to you and on-time deliveries.

CONCEPT & DESIGN
CONCEPTUAL DESIGN - Unsure “what to do,” “how to do it,” or “where to start”? NCAD excels in refining your existing design— whether it’s a 3D computer model, blueprints, or even that idea you sketched on a napkin. If necessary, you can simply describe your idea to us and we can draw it for you. Naturally, we can also take an existing part and reproduce it. We can also offer you outside advice that can provide you with new ideas, a fresh approach and an unbiased viewpoint.
COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN - Any future modifications to your part or product will be simple, difficult, or nearly impossible, depending on how well the orginal concept is designed in a computer program. While all companies use similar software, NCAD’s strength is its CAD operators, who ensure the computer model parts and components are designed with real-world behaviors and attributes. The concept of creating these “3D-parametric solids” requires the operator to use what is referred to as "design intent.”
For example, if a feature was intended to be located off of the center of the part, the operator needs to locate it correctly, and not not off of a more convenient edge. That way, if the part is later changed, the feature stays in the center.
